My Profile

My name is Abdul Aziz Al-Mazrouei. I was born in Abu Dhabi in 1984. I finished High School in 2000 and then joined ADNOC Technical Institute. I graduated from it on 2003 and joined ADCO as an electronics foreman. I worked in ADCO for four years then joined a sponsorship program and started attending the Higher Colleges of Technology in 2007. I plan to continue my higher study until I get the Bachelors degree, at least. I like traveling abroad a lot to know different cultures. I travel to two different countries at least every year. I also like reading fantasy and romance novels. I have a huge collection of books at home; many are piled up in my room because I ran out of shelves.

In my blog, I will write about Environment and Global Warming for English-174. I will write about the problems that Global Warming can cause and the disasters that follows after the ice in the North Pole melts. I will also write about the main causes of Global Warming and its effects on humanity and wildlife.

Honey and Cough

Honey has been found to be a better cure to upper respiratory infections to children above the age of two. While physicians have been giving medicines that contain dextromethrophan to relive children from pain and help them sleep, it also has proven to have side effects on the children such as difficulty in breathing and mood changes along with slurred speech and nausea. However, a spoon a honey before they sleep will greatly relieve their pain and also contains a lot of vitamins. Experiments have shown significant results and honey proved to be the most effective against cough. Dextromethrophan had the same effect as having no medicine at all. Also parents reported that their children had much peaceful and quite night after they had a spoon of honey while parents who gave their children dextromethrophan suffered from lack of sleep.
